Security and privacy
The wall display is for the people in front of it.
Access is limited by role, actions are written to an audit trail, and one agency cannot read another's data. This page describes controls in the product today, plus one sign-in path that is still coming.
Controls in place
- No remote screenshots
- StationGlance does not take remote screenshots of station screens.
- Role-based access
- What a person can do depends on their role. Only admins and approvers can post top-priority notices. Captain messages use two-step approval. Approval for announcements and training is an agency setting.
- Audit trail
- The product keeps a full audit trail. Urgent notices that bypass approval are still logged, and they expire: 24 hours for priority 1 and 72 hours for priority 2, by agency setting.
- MFA for admins
- Admin sign-in uses multi-factor authentication.
- Agency isolation
- Each agency's data is isolated. StationGlance is multi-tenant and uses row-level security so one agency's rows are not available to another.
- Where it runs
- The product is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States, in the Central US region.
This marketing site
stationglance.com is a static site. It does not include third-party analytics. The demo request opens your email app. It does not post the form to a StationGlance server. The product application at app.stationglance.com is a separate site.
